Competition Extras

The following competition extras were part of the 2000 Hannover International Violin competition:

At the Academy of Music and Theater Arts, November 5th – 15th:

»Violins of the Past«. An exhibition of extraordinary instruments, presented by Renata Koeckert Stringed Instruments, Munich.

»Violins of Today«. Christian Erichson presents violins of the 20th and 21st century in a model violin workshop on site at the Academy.

On November 15th at 5 p.m., violins from both exhibits will be presented in concert at the Academy (admission free).

At Opus 1 Restaurant, Mövenpick am Kröpke, downtown Hannover:

From October 28th to November 20th. Dietmar Althof features photographs of the past three competitions (1991, 1994, 1997).

On November 15th in Celle, Osnabrück and Wolfenbüttel:

»The Competition in the Countryside«. Competitors in concert at selected sites in the state of Lower Saxony.
